So i got done installing my new REAR sway bar endlinks (ingalls from SHOsource) and to go with them i put in new REAR Energy Sup. control arm bushings.

After doing so i got in here and took it out for spin only to discover the ride is something comparable to a dump truck. Its AWFUL.

Im wondering if i got the Sway bar endlinks tightened down to right or something?? Or is the ride just going to be that bad?

I would like to point out the setup is: Ingalls control arms, Ingalls end link, Energy Sup. control arm bushings, And one stock and poly sway bar bushing )got the wrong size so i didnt put the other in...) Moog Springs with 1/2 coil cut and new OE shocks.

So what do you think, did install something wrong/to tight, or is the ride just that stiff?

David.:thankyou:

The endlink bushings do not affect ride in making it stiff. I have not really heard of anyone using Energy Suspension rear Control arm bushings. That may be the cause of the stiff ride.

drive it for a little, it will get better.
And you probably didn't grease your Energy.

Well we were looking at the setup and were thinking something with the strut mounts maybe wrong the spring doesn't appear to load correctly. Were not sure yet but were gonna look at it more today and take it apart and check.

I think he means the Energy suspension bushings for the rear tension rods.

I have the Energy suspension bushing for those rear tension rods along with the Ingalls RCA's, Koni/Eibach's (no coils cut), Moog rear endlinks, 26 bar, and an h-brace. Mine does not ride like a dump truck.

Could the dump truck feeling be the cut coils on the the springs?

It didnt ride like this before with the Springs is thing thats telling me no on that.

We look at it A LOT last night and its acting like the the strut/spring is binding when it loads, Ive got a set of coils touching
when at about 5/8's load while on the other side of the spring the I can fit a finger in between the coils.

The WEIRD thing is ALL of a sudden both sides feel like their doing it.

We unhooked the sway bar so we know its not that.

When my brother gets home i think were pulling the struts to inspect the mounts and see if they are shot or what.

do the strut rod/tension rod bushings have that much effect on the ride stiffness?

i too thought about the cut coils, but its only like a half coil, (maybe a whole, what did you cut??)

and when i lift the rear of the car up off the ground, i can grab the rear wheel and pull it down another inch or so after the rear suspension unloads. wtf?

it will fully unload itself with the control arms and tension rod unhooked.
so is the strut/spring in a bind? why would it do that?
i don't do struts. i know my car upside down and backwards, but this is very different.

The back of mine is stiff as well, but thats with the rear STB......

Otherwise it is only New uncut cargo coils, the sensatracs that were there when I bought it, moog endlinks and 26mm bar....

Its stiff enough going down the road it feels like it is bouncing over bumps, but in corners it does dig in and help turn
