ok i need some help. I remove the old struts and springs by cutting the old strut inhalf since i couldn't get it out of the knucle. Now i have the new strut all assembled and now i can't get it back into the knuckle. I can get it in but the strut sticks outside the wheel well and there's no room to get it in there. I tried removing the tension rod but it wouldn't budge even with pb blaster heat and an air gun. So i need help/advise asap since this is my daily driver and i need it for work tomorrow. Thanks

I'm not sure that I understand the problem, but I'll offer the following: Put the top in first, loosely. Take a pipe or prybar and pull the knuckle down using leverage against the strut rod, with the other end of the prybar under the rear subframe area or something solid. You should be able to pull the knuckle down below the bottom of the strut and line them up.

I hope that helps a bit.

i got them in finally after prying them in place and using a floor jack and a scissor jack to move the knuckle into place. What a world of difference it made. Car sits atlest 3 inches higher and i can actually take turns at speed and go over rough roads with no wories of bottoming out. i'll get pics this weekend after she gets all cleaned
