Thanks for the info. Dealer wants $550cdn do to one side!not bad you have to get to the top nut with the back seat laying down and pull off the panel cover on the back seat side. It will help a ton if you have an air ratchet as you need the 90*. a manual ratchet will work but the threads are long. put a wrench on the nut and the socket on the end of the shock shaft (it is hexed) and spin the shaft not the nut.
How much is the part? If it costs $475 for one strut then maybeThanks for the info. Dealer wants $550cdn do to one side!

I haven't priced out OEM shocks, just found those off a Google search. I won't be doing shock until the spring because I need to do a rear brake job too. Knock on wood the car won't explode til then.lolIf you are on a budget that is ok I. I am not impressed with the ride quality or lifespan of the regular aftermarket brand shocks and struts. I would get oem units if it is feasable. But it's not my wallet so always easy for me to spend other peoples money. You could get that money back with a US Ford extended warranty vs Canadian pricing.![]()
