Rear Ford oval removal

Anyone remove this in a 2013+? Do you have to remove the whole chrome strip to get it off?

I did on my 2010 cuz I was vinyl wrapping my chrome strip. but I believe its just held on by double sided tape

The 2013+ is a little different. I'm trying to get a custom painted one and after being send the wrong one twice now I'm being told it doesn't come off the chrome piece. I don't buy it.

As to what it is held on by, IDK. Still in favor of the doublesided tape theory.

If I remember correctly I believe it's held on by 2 studs. Once you remove the chrome strip you can get to the back of it to remove the emblem. I THINK that's how it's held in place, but it's been 2 years since I removed mine so it might be double sided tape.

Getting custom painted ones. I already did the front. I was sent the wrong one for the rear but the guy is working on it.
