Hey, I'm doing some audio upgrades here & need to cut a little in the rear deck, but first I have to get that jute & the board/carpet outta there. Any help to do this? I have the seats off, but the seatbelts are in the way & it doesn't seem to want to come. I'm going to recarpet it, so I don't think it will matter much if it gets torn up really. Any experiences or help here?

remove the seat belts. seriously. Torx 50, youll want a 3/8th drive, and strong ratchet, and probably a cheater.

Actually, eveyone I've ever pulled the rear shoulder belts out of had two different sizes of Torx bits.

Sorry, don't recall what the other one is, probably a T40 or T45 in addition to the T50.

I think I recall 2 different torx sizes as well. If you want the whole tray to come out you might need to remove the interior trim around the rear quarter glass too. I forget as I had alot of projects going on at the same time back there.

Luigisho is correct. It is easiest if you remove the trim panels around the little rear quarter windows. Also remove the seatbelts(2 diff. sized Torx bits), the 3rd brake light, and the speaker grilles(obviously).

Then, just wiggle the piece out.

I took mine out 3 months ago or so when I did my rear suspension and I STILL have not replaced it. doh

IIRC, on the Gen II, its not as necessary to remove the side window trim. There are a couple platic "plugs" that visible after removing the back of the back seat that hold the cover on. Pull these out and you should be able to slide off the cover without removing the seatbelts. Guess you'll have to remove the CHMSL as well on the 92.
