rear brakes on 89 sho

i just bought a 89 sho for $500.00 with a rebuilt motor and trans,....i'm not gettin any pressure to the back brakes, i checked the p. valve and i'm gettin pressure, but not to the caliper, could this be sign's of bad hoses?? i'm gettin new lines and hoses, but the hoses are 23.50 a piece... i'm new with the sho, but i also have a thunderbird sc....(needs tranny)....thanx for any info... headbang

Make certain that when you check the pressure that the driver's rear wheel is not hanging free. There is a proportioning/bias valve located on the driver's side forward control arm that cuts off the flow of brake fluid when the left rear suspension is extended. You will either need a large ty-wrap to hold the valve closed or you will need to support and raise the knuckle to its normal, unsprung position.

Hoses are only $13 each if you order them from rockauto.

i have both rear wheels off the ground on jackstands. found the prob was the hoses. and now my pass side brake line blew out.... i'm also havin a prob getting one of the pinch bolts out, so i drilled a small hole and tried to use a punch to get it out, still aint comin out... i got all the other pinch bolts out and regreesed them so they move in and out, but the pass side bottom i'm havin a **** of a time with, how much is it for new pinch bolts?? and can u just buy 1 or do they come in pairs of 2 or 4?? thanx
