hey everybody,
i'm new to the site and new owner of a 89 SHO. i decided to do a brake job and the slider pins on the rear brackets are frozen up. tried to free them and broke one of the pins and can't get it out. does anybody have any ideas how to get the pin out or have any brackets for sale.

thanks,
charles

Buy a loaded caliper from the local parts store. They do sell slider pin repair kits, but then you've got to accurately & cleanly drill out the old slider - not that easy to do at home.

I know what you are talking about :madflame: , I got new brackets from AutoZone for 19.99 IIRC.

Autozone only carries the front brackets not the rear ones

with a great outcome, i drilled mine out. i only used a hand power drill, 3" square metal block, and C-clamp.
