Ohh my what luck.
Just got my car back. Had my wifes brother put new clutch in. Good news its up and running. Bad news my wife decided to drive it home. She could not reach the emergency break, so with out thinking she got out of the car and pulled the cable. The car rolled backwards into her brothers van. I need some big time help here. A little depressed with the news. Alright what happened is the driverside of the bumper came lose. It did not break. And also the driverside above the bumber is trashed ( That fiber glass peice that runs across the top of the bumber and holds the licens plate in place ) Does anyone know what that is called, and how to get a new one? How hard is the task at hand? well thanks hope to hear somthing soon.

I'm not getting much love from Google. Most places I find have front body parts. I think the biggest problem you will run into is that the rear quarters are either welded or riveted on and I think the rear body panel is as well, unlike the fronts which are bolted on.

My best guess is the boneyard.

plastic

the piece you are talking about is the rear valance panel, its a form of plastic and should be able to take it of from the inside of your trunk just detatch your license plate and remove interior panels and remove it the hardest part is probably grabbing one from a junk yard and having it painted:)

From your name=91shodown we think you have a gen1 & that rear valence is metal, part of the unibody. But you mention a fibreglass piece so you must have a gen 2. Any gen2 Taurus in the bone yard wil have that piece. The side mount is on a large washer/bolt that the inner bumper support slides on to. If that slide is not broken you have to remove whole bumper to slide it back on. You can also remove that washer/bolt with a reverse torx on the inside of the trunk. I have done both a few times so call me & i'll talk you through it if you have issues. If the inner bumper support slide is broke buy a SLO bumper & cover & just put the SHO cover on top of the SLO one. Thats how they come from the factory.
