Ok this is a stumper. A few days ago I noticed that when I would make a sharp turn the engine would miss but once in a straight line it runs fine. My first thoughts were plug wires going bad. Then, as I kept noticing the problem, it only happens when I slow down to turn (like usually when turning on a street in second gear) and it only happens in sharp right hand turns. It won't miss when I take a sharp left, only a sharp right. Then I started thinking that I had a loose connection somewhere. I checked everywhere and can't find anything. Could this be power steering related or what? I don't know what to do. :headbang:

This is most likely a crap shoot, but you aren't running it low on fuel, are you?

I thought of that as well but it happens even when I have half a tank or more.

Has the CHECK ENGINE light illuminated during any of these events? If so, there's a map to your answer. Check those codes.

I have had a CPS fail only in right hand turns I suppose due to the slight movement of the crankshaft against the thrust bearings.

If no luck with the CE light, you will have to wiggle a few more conductors to find the fault.

when you say low speed and sharp turn related, something tells me power steering. This is just a guess like yours. Maybe the pump is binding and bogging the engine somehow.

No check engine light and it shouldn't be the CPS as the side 60k was done only about 5 months ago. I guess it's prolly the power steering and the annoying whine is from the power steering pump rather than the AC compressor as I first thought.

I'd say check the grounds to motor and intake.I had an 88 ****** GT that did something like this.Found out the owner before me had a coat hanger as a ground to the motor :jpshakeh:
Good luck

As Scott said, check the idle. A momentary lapse of signal from the crank sensor may not be enough to illuminate the MIL, but I'd bet a dollar that you have either a Crank, DIS, or CID code stored.
