I've just earlier tonight installed a BBB/Ported Intake into my existing setup, car has more top end but sometimes seems to bog (flat power up through 5k with no secondaries opening) if I dont hit the gas just right when accelerating, Sometimes it works great other times I rev but little power? Might I need to reprogram my TedB LPM to correct? Any suggestions appreciated, :swing:

Make sure you have all the lines connected at the rear of the intake (electrical and vacuum) and that you've properly grounded the intake on the rear passenger side intake bracket.

$10.00 says your BBB are stuck open...

I am currently doing a intake and one of the newly purchased BBB was stuck open, probably loctite down the shaft. Based on your symptoms it could be your secondary control, or bad BBB.

When my BBB's were sent off to be powder coated, the person who coated them didn't even take them apart. There was over-spray on the exposed shaft so I took them apart and had a local company strip and recoat just the housings. I even found the rubber seals were pretty much fried and found some replacements.

When I was putting them back togther, I had some Loc-Tite run down one of the shafts. As soon as I realized this, I scrambled to take it apart and cleaned it all up again. I was more careful the second time. If you rebuild them, I would suggest new screws and use just a little bit of Loc-Tite. You could even flatten the end of the screw after it is completely screwed in to ensure the screws don't come loose. I also pus some lubricant on the shafts and they open and close buttery smooth (even still).

I did the same thing. The secondaries most be taken apart for the powder coat, the 450 degrees would distroy the seals. When I reassembled I went a little nuts on the locktite and the next day neither one would move. Lesson learned...

RE:

Thanks for the input guys, I drove some more today and got the secondaries to open...some of the time. I've noticed a uneven idle when the car is in Park, every two minutes the revs will drop to 600 and then go back to 900, the car has not died yet. Before the BBB, Acid ported intake the idle was very even. I am now thinking a slight vacume leak from the lines or maybe I need to trash the rusted out oem exhaust and put on a true dual setup???
