All 10-12 RDU or (carrier assembly) will not work with AKD’s coupler and clutches. The magnet is different. You’ll need a 13+ carrier assembly.
AKD mentioned they are working on a separate design for the early RDU SHO's (2010 to 2012). However, If I buy a 2013 on up RDU via JY or Ebay used, what needs to be done to the computer to properly program it's control? Can dealer figure that out of would I with Forscan?

That I don’t know. I’m hoping to just plug it in and it’s fine.

Hope it's a plug and play type deal not a plug and pray. UPDATE: It's just two wires for the ITCC unit in front of the DANA differential. No reprogramming needed but a PCM reset is a good idea. Got a 2015 replacement unit with the third GEN ITCC clutch pack in it and installed fine. Added a 24mm WhiteLine sway bar with PolyUrethane bushings.
2015 RDU + sway bar = way MOBETTA driveability!

GB5P-4000-AB OK. I got the aforementioned RDU off of eBay for 120 bucks delivered and slapped it in. 140 dollar repair because I needed new mounting bolts too. The eBay RDU had low mileage and has the 3rd GEN ITCC JTEKT clutch system. Man, the car drives, launches and feels much better. I think the circa 2009 unit was toasted and LOCKED up into full time 4wd. I was getting thunks and pops on hard launches along with popping and binding when backing up in a turn. Glad I replaced it before it grenaded itself on the race track at 140mph. :)

Isn't there a switch that turns off the rear RDU if the park brake is applied? My AWD had stopped working one time this past summer. Car would do rolling burnouts when punching it from 60 mph. It was a blast. lol I ended up reading something and applied my brake and took it back off and then the AWD started to work again.

F35 is the fuse for the RDU, passenger seat massage and rear sonar. It's possible the parking brake overrides the RDU. Not positive though.
