Raybestos stinks

I got a set of four Raybestos brake hoses from Rockauto. Three of the four boxes were missing the crush washers. Rockauto called Raybestos and were told: "We recently changed suppliers for our brake hoses and the new supplier does not include those. Tell the customer to reuse the old ones". What a crock. Oh well, another trip to the parts store.

I didn't buy Raybestos and mine didn't come with crush washers either. I'll see if I can find the brand.

Tell RockAuto to send you the crush-washers, or to issue a return RMA for refund. I wouldn't even ask for a replacement. It seems that several major aftermarket parts suppliers have begun taking the "WalMart" approach to sourcing their parts, and if RockAuto isn't going to force their suppliers to provide what most consider a "required part" for the installation, or stand behind what they sell, the only way they'll truly get the message is when "money starts to walk out the door...."

DO NOT REUSE THE OLD CRUSH-WASHERS - IT'S A POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD ! ! !

I have reused my old crush washers countless times and have not had issues at all. The same brakes have seen many miles of track time and heavy duty driving on the streets on a daily basis. Ive cooked the caliper seals twice, replaced pads/rotors 4 times, and I am still on the OEM washers.

Sometimes they will create a problem, but usually not. Most wagner brake hoses also do not come with new washers. As a matter of fact not many hoses we use at work come with new washers.

Aftermarket SS lines don't come with crush washers. Earl's, Russell's. Did Rock Auto's website say they came with them? If it did, they need to send them to you. If it didn't, you neglected to order them.

They are usually about 50 cents a piece at the parts store.
