without a lot of custom work son, your pretty stuck with it.

the gen 3 SHO's are pretty notorious for not being custom friendly

James (St Louis SHO) i think has a custom glove box cover in silver that you might be able to pry out of his hands. then you can just wire it all up that way and just disconnect the speakers from the factory radio.

There are no mass produced face plates for easy aftermarket head unit install.

As others have said, you are stuck with the EATC unless you want to come up with your own "custom" idea.

I have 3 major types:
1. Inside the console
2. Ashtray (remove ashtray and put it in it's place, requires a lot of custom work)
3. In the EATC.. requires the most fab (mostly fiberglass fabrication)

If you do a search on the forum, you can find pictures of all 3 of these. NebraskaSHO has his in the ashtray if you want to PM him. I'm not sure if James (StLouisSHO) still has the sho with the head unit in the console. Try PM'ing LJRuddy for that.
