radio jumps to am when headlights are turned on

Ok, no this isn't the twilight zone and I never heard of anything like this.
Has anyone ever run into this problem with the Ford premium radio/casette player?
It doesn't loose the stations set into the memory, it just jumps to am, all the way to the left of the dial, 640mhz.

Seems like hte reception board on the inside has a short. If you can deal with it .... keep it. If not you can start looking for a upgrade.

Yeah but it's like the failing Crank Position Sensor- it's a fun surprise that takes a while to show up...
