from what I have read and understand, the radiator fan is supposed to run when the a/c is set to auto, which is what i have mine set to. my radiator fan only comes on when after sitting in traffic the temp nudges past the n. do i have a bad fan, switch, or am i worried about nothing. i just changed the thermo the other day and discovered that when the thermo was replaced last time, by the dealer, the wrong one was put in. no jiggle valves and it was a bit loose in the housing, who would have guessed. thanks in advance for imparting new knowledge to me

For what it's worth, on my '92 SHO, the cooling fan only runs when the car has been sitting at a traffic light or at an idle while parked. The auto position on the a/c control head does not make my fan come on as soon as the button is activated. I would say your car is working fine.

For some reason whenever I touch the auto button my fan kicks on. My temp normally stays below the "l" in normal. So, when i'm either sitting in traffic where I see the gauge go up, I hit the auto button and the fan kicks in to bring it back down.
