Ok my fan worked yesterday afternoon which is why I didn't immeadiately suspect it as my source of my overheating issue. However, I replaced my T stat today as well as my rad cap. I turned my AC on Max and realized that the fan wasn't spinning.

A friend of mine will send me some spare IRCM's to test on my car. I should have those by Tues or Wednesday. I'm going to start pulling fuses and inspecting them; does anyone know where the fuse for the fan is? I'd imagine it's on the firewall.

...and I have some research to do on this but I figure that I'll ask here. What's the deal with mtx fans these days? I understand that they are disco from Ford, and expensive if they can be found from an aftermarket supplier. The place that rebuilt my alternator might be able to rebuild the fan motor if it's shot so I guess I'll call them tomorrow for a price quote...

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

Thanks
Ian

Who would've thought; the fuses under the hood are labeled on the inside of the cover. BTW, I have a 50a fuse in the cooling fan spot although the label specifies a 60a. That wasn't the problem but let's just say I'm going to go crawl under a rock and drink a beer.

Problem solved, no overheating.

Thanks for reading!!

If it's burned up check www.zirgo.com for an aftermarket fan. They have a 16" fan that pull close to 3985cfm for a $220.00!

So it's working again?

I got my fan motor rebuilt for $30. You can check by applying 12v to the fan socket, it it works then it's most likely the CCRM or a fuse.
