racing seats?

Are racing seats universal? I was planning on getting this five pound crap plastic seat(its about weight not comfort!). I was going to get it from jegs or the like. Do you guys think it would work?

The seats that I have found are not universal. Recaro, Sparco to name a couple.

You really shouldn't overlook the "safety" of the seat along with the weight and comfort.
