93 atx. igniniton key is not working all the time, You've got to jiggle it, until finally the tumblers work. Is there a quick fix for this? How difficult is it to remove the column ignition switch to replace it with another one. I have put some graphite lock lubricant and it helped but still having the problem sporadicly. Any ideas , let me know as it getting really annoying to have to screw with it for 5 minutes to get it to work.

Turn it to run and look at the bottom of the column below the tumbler for a small hole. Stick a small screwdriver or thick piece of wire in the hole and push the little metal button. The tumbler should be able to slide out away from the column now. On my '90 it likes to get hung on the column trim so watch for that.

^^+1 I just replaced mine a week ago, only took a few minutes.
better to do it while you can still turn it otherwise it's quite a bit harder

as said before just turn the key to the on position, i used an o-ring pick as it is very thin yet very strong. make sure you disconnect the battery or your car will sit there with the ignition on. this isnt a problem if you have one ready to swap in but i had to pull mine and go to the junk yard to match it.
