Hi all,
I am in the middle of my 1st clutch jod and have a question. How do I remove the old quile sleeve (the sleeve the throw out bearing slides on) so that I can put the new one on? I don't want to just start prying on it....
thanks for the help:wave:

Cutting it off with a dremel is the easiest way to remove it. Just cut a little bit at a time and don't go too deep. then it'll come off pretty easily.

There was a thread here previously (been a while, though), with pics showing that you can fracture the end of it with a screwdriver and then peel it off like unwrapping a burrito.

I've always wondered whether it was really necessary to replace them, but they're cheap and I suppose as long as you're in there it doesn't hurt.

Scott (Strings1732) and I just replaced mine by using a Dremel. We couldn't get it to tear on its own.

As long as you can get the 3 locking tabs back a bit you should be able to start to get it off. The tabs are what hold it in so well.

we tried the "pry the locking tabs away" method to no avail... The dremel method was all that was left.
