ok, in between the two secondaries' vacumn lines, they connect into a "T" connector. I have the two lines connected to each vacumn line, but where does the third go?

It comes off of the little black vacuum switch on the bakc of the manifold. It should be easy to spot. It's to the right of the little canister and it has a electrical connector on it. The whole system goes like this:

Manfild into little canister, then over to the switch, then from the switch to the 'T', then to each of the sets of secondaries.

I have posted the routing of the secondary vacuum lines from the intake port to the diaphragm actuators. If you had searched on "secondary vacuum routing" you would have found this post.

sorry oh_my oh_my oh_my

wink

anyways, another problum, she's all in one piece again, all the wires and everything i thought, and i go to crank it over, and no spark. i hook the computer up to it, and i get a 511 code, air something or other, not having anything to do with spark, and it says that cleaning off the battery termnals might cause this code to come up, which i did.

so, im stuck with no codes, and no spark, and the thing sparked before being taken apart.

any help appreciated.

Alright bubba, here is what youwant to check... When you put that intake manifold back on, there is a ground strap that attaches to the rear, left (if you are facing the car) intake brace. Make sure you got this ground bolted to that brace. If it's not there, make sure you have both bolts in the crossover tube.

Scott, not to hop on the ass train or anything, but even I wouldn't have thought to specifically look up "secondary vacuum routing". Usually people here refer to stuff like that as "that vacuum doohicky" and "that box that makes the butterfly thingies open" and that makes searching for something so specific kind of difficult.

Edit: Scrap checking the crossover tube... Your code is for lack of power to the PCM. Make sure that ground cable is on the intake support. :)

The search engine doesn't always work properly either. That's something to keep in mind. There are plenty of old posts that are impossible to find with the search engine in the state that it's in.

Did you check the crossover tube bolts and the DIS module plugS? The intake acts as a ground for your DIS. Without the ground, you will get no spark. To test this, take a multimeter and put the red lead on the positive battery post. Take the black lead and stick it on the crossover tube. You should be getting about 12.8 volts with the car off.

oh, one more thing. there is another wire coming out of the firewall maybe 2 inches to the left of the master cylinder. it is a small wire, and doesnt seem long enough to hook into anything. any guesses?
