Will a AX4N transmission from a 99 TAURUS v6 work on my 96 sho? It's got the 19 Bolt oil pan on it?

Thanks for your help.

it *might* work...but not for very long. IIRC, the trans you're talking about was bolted to the vulcan motor, which puts out significantly less torque than the yamaha does, which means it'll live life rough and quick.

I had my 93 SHO atx apart and the final drive gear had a differant tooth count 36 for stock taurus and like 26 for the SHO. My trans guy helpnig me with the rebuild said the computer would get thrown off when the trans positon sensor begins to count the teeth while driving.
