I have a stock PP.
and obviously im not going to put a stock PP in there...
is there anyway to mod this one? other than taking it to a speed shop, and seeing if they can put in new straps and rivets...
i was thinking (and only thinking) about welding a strip of metal over the current straps. the only thing that i see wrong with it is weight/balance.

Or is the first idea possible.

I found a tranny, now im in a bind with the clutch/flywheel part. (JTSHO, if i had more time i would buy the flywheel, but i need the car on the road by monday..)

Yes you can drill the rivets and replace them with stronger bolts, and prolly get some custom straps made easily enough. A few people have done it, do a search.
