ok. i bought my '93 ATX SHO from my father, and he had the SHO Shop '96 brake upgrade done in front, along with a laundry list of other things.

What I kinda need to know is, are they from the '96 SHO, or the regular taurus?
Which parts were upgraded? (i assume rotors, calipers, pads)
and i think that's about it for now.

thanks aloot for your answers

There are two quick things you can look for to verify that it was indeed a '96 upgrade. You can look on the tops of the front brackets for the casting code "FN74", or you could actually measure the rotors, and if they are 11.6" then the upgrade has been done.

The '96 upgrade for a '93 would have consisted of '94-'95 knuckles, '94-'99 calipers, '96+ brackets and rotors, and size 598 pads.

Yes, the '96 upgrade does come from the '96-99 SHO's.
Sounds like you have a nice SHO already, what other mods had your dad done to it?

Koni adjustables, Eibach springs, urethane bushings, Subframe stiffening, K&N cone, MAF (90 i think), y-pipe, catback (dynaflow i think), UDP set, Superchip.

i do indeed like the car. it just seems that a few problems are creeping up. powersteering needs some work, tranny seems to need a bit of something, and there are a couple of strange rattles from the suspension that i would like to know the source of.
but first...the brakes!
