Ok I finally got the transmission done on my 95 MTX Blue SHO. However, I'm not happy with the way the car sounds. It sounds like it needs a whole new exhaust sound and I'm not sure. The guy who did my transmission said all the car needs is an oil change and a good tune up. However, I'm not sure should the tune up come first or the exhaust system. A good tune up on this car is going to cost me another $1600 because the EGR valves need cleaning and everything else needs replaced. The axles need replacements also. I can drive her and she rides nice albeit a little rough than the 95 ATX green SHO.
I'm trying to take thing little at a time. I wanted to take my loan check that I'm getting next week and get a major tune up followed by a major exhaust job done. However, when I came back from vocation, all **** broke lose in this house. My mother crashed the 95 ATX green SHO. She quits her $50,000/yr job with nothing in site as far as income and doesn't want to go back to work full-time. She has a husband who takes his money and disappears with it until he's broke. So you can quess that the bills haven't been paid. On top of this, I'm one semester away from graduation from college and don't want to take a job. I've done the school and work thing and it doesn't pan out for me. I figure that I'll take a full-time job in January and attend graduate school at night. I'm planning to do this via distant learning so I'll be able to study for 2.5 hours during the week and 3 hours on Saturday and Sunday. This is better than going to school full-time and working part-time and having to come home and do 4 hours of study in one night.
Well, since I have to take my loan check and catch up on the bills, it will leave me with only about $400. I'm not sure what I can do with $400 dollars to get both cars repaired or just even one. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
