Question: SFC's and that Exhaust Hanger

I know when we put on SFC's we're supposed to bend the exhaust hanger in front of the RR wheel out of the way. Seems to me that once it's bent up it doesn't really hold the exhaust up any more.

Reason I ask is when I nail it in 1st I still get feedback into the body from it. If I just remove the rubber support it may give me enough clearance.

Just checking to see what everyone else did...remove it entirely? or just bend the crap out of it?
