In order to do the Cobra upgrade on my 93 I know i need 94/95 knuckles.

I have exhausted the search button and cant really get a straight answer.

Do the 94/95 knuckles HAVE to be from a SHO, or will any taurus/sable work?

Also, do they have to be 94/95? can i use genIII SHO/SLO knuckles?

The 96 SHO rotor is the 11.6" correct, and this is rotor i have to redrill the bracket 0.7"?

I hear that a 12.2" rotor will fit under the slicer rim with the cobra calipers, what is required to make the brakets fit for this, and what rotor is used?

Thanks for reading this!

Yes, you can use a knuckle from ANY Gen 2 Taurus or Sable. If you still want your ABS, make sure its from a car that has ABS.

You cannot use the Gen 3 because the balljoint is integrated into the spindle on those years instead of the control arm like the Gen 2.

Some have said that the Continental knuckles will work also, but I'm pretty sure they used a Gen 3 knuckle.

Rotors, caliper brackets and pads can be from either a Gen 3 SHO, Gen 4 Taurus, or 94?-end of production Continental.

Calipers can be from any of the above cars, or a 94-95 Gen 2 Taurus/Sable.

All that, and I've never owned a SHO with the 96 brake upgrade.

The knuckles must be from a 94/95 Taurus or Sable, Sedan, Wagon, or SHO. Must have ABS if you wish to keep ABS.
