I have an opportunity to purchase a 93 for $500 that has a good body, 3.2 engine, tranny and new tires, but it has electrical problems. I haven't seen the car yet, will do that next week. I was wondering if anyone has done any work with the wiring in SHO's or has experienced any electrical problems with their Gen. 2. I can only imagine that rewiring the car would be so much of a hassle that it probably would not be worth it, $500 or not. Any input is welcome, Mike

I guess for $500 I could at least part it out, if the electrical problems are really bad off!

Ok just got off the phone with the owner and he doesn't really know what the problem is. He says he ran the codes and ended up with a lot of electrical codes. The engine acts like it wants to crank, but doesn't fully turn over. He says it almost catches and then just dies. The car ran fine and strong before this problem occurred. Doesn't run now obviously, but is in pretty good condition from what he says. Possible fuel problem or problem with getting fuel to the engine. Maybe a problem with the fuel pump or something? It's also the infamous rare green color. I am going to look at it in person in a couple of days and will probably pick it up no matter what. Hopefully the towing bill won't be too much, it's about 45 miles from me. Anyways, don't think this is enough info for you guys to be able to tell me anything, but again, any help is appreciated. Thanks, Mike

That is not much to go like you said. Did he mention the code numbers? That would lead to a better response. Could be anything from faulty fuel pump to a skipped timing belt. Has the car hads proper visits to the maintence doctor for its 60Ks?
