question about chain tensionors

when i crank engine by hand i notice once in a while the rear and front chains loose tension, is this normal or do they BOTH need to be replaced i already thought my front one was going bad. thanks

yeah mines doing that to but its just the back one is really losse but the front one is tight some maybe someone can help us both an if its the tensioner where do u get them at b/c i checked az and no luck

what youre seeing is the difference in the cams. when installed, one cam is inbetween strokes while the other is in mid stroke. rotating the engine slowly engine will exaggerate this action. at higher RPMs, the chain tensioners take up the slack created.
