If the locating holes don't line up you can just break them off... Locating holes are only there to make sure there put on straigt from the factory.

Is it ok to attach them with double sided tape? Any particular brand of tape over another? Any other way? I would need the same to do the 24v DOHC badges too, since my car didn't have them when I purchased it. Thanks.

1, All GEN1/GEN2 badges are the same, SHO and Taurus.

2, GEN3 Taurus has the 24 valve badges. The PLUS ones are metal while the GEN3 ones are plastic.

Most wrecking yards would probably charge you very, very little or even give them to you for free.

****, you can have mine for free '(cept that shipping would probably be more than it's worth).

FYI< I shaved my badges off this year.

Thanks for your help guys. Now I have a couple choices to mull over. :)

I like that sticker on the wagon in the above post:

"If it has **** or wheels it will give you problems"

AMEN to that.

I hope you are not trying to get Treasues of the Sierra Madre as the correct answer, as that is not the quote. THat exact quote appears in Balzing Saddles as a spoof of Treasures of the Sierra Madre. If this is way off of what you are thinking, please give the correct answer, as this si sorta bugging me. Damn I know too much about films.

I just ordered badges from Lewis, with only SHO centered on each. Lewis said he can omit the "powered by Yamaha" word. I think just the SHO is enough and will look great.

You do know too much! I believe I am wrong, "stinkin" was not in Treasure of the Sierra Madre, which was the movie I was thinking of. You do win....my everlasting respect!

Thanks for the respect, working in movie theaters for 5 years has made me a virtual encycopedia.

About this topic, I think what I am going to so is get rid of the rear badge and put a "yamaha" one up front. Should look pretty decent, IMO.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions.
