I went to the SHOtimes web site and they are down. I need to know how to do the KOER and goose test. I did the KOEO test and everything passed. The reason I want to do this is due to bad fuel mileage. My t-stat seems to be working ok and is getting up to the "m" to "l" range in normal. I replaced the front O2 sensor a few months ago due to the code reading I got at that time. I have been watching my fuel mileage drop from 20 to 15. This is mainly city driving as I only drive 7 miles one way to work and it is all back roads. I remember reading a post about cleaning the MAF sensor. Would this cause bad fuel mileage? Would a dirty MAF sensor show up while reading the codes. I am using the jumper method and counting the flashes on the check engine light. Car has 126,*** miles on it and no other problems at this time. Thanks for the help.........

A dirty MAF can not be detected by the EEC test since it does not affect the resistence of the filaments, only their response to the air flow. The O2 sensors will compensate for a biased MAF reading. Ain't electronics great?

You can get to the SHOtimes site through their IP address: 216.92.187.145

I ran the KOER test and I get the 3 flashes on the check engine light and the idle goes up and I can see it drop and raise back up as it is going throught its motions. My problem now is I do not get the single light to tell me to preform the goose test and I do not get any other flashes with the check engine light. I went ahead and did the KOEO test again and now I am coming up with code 634 "MLP sensor voltage out of test range". What does this mean. Any ideas on what I was doing wrong since the KOER test would not work. Thanks for the help.....

I found out the the MLP was "Manual Lever Position (MLP): Indicates the position of the manual lever in electronically controlled transmissions." What would cause the sensor voltage to be out of test range and how do I go about checking it. Does it matter if the transmission is in park or netural while doing these test?
