I have a very pronounced clunking left and right side. I can feel it in the fllor at times but it sounds like it is higher than the floor. Everything and I mean everything in that front end is new....except for the strut mounts and bearing.....

Can that really be the cause? The cluck sounds like taking a plastic screw driver and hitting a fender with the plastic end. Almost hollow sounding.....

Thanks...

If your strut mounts are still stock, that'd be my guess. The stiffer suspension parts put more stress on the other components then the stock stuff did, so if they weren't already broken when you upgraded your suspension, i wouldnt be surprised if they're broken now.

did you put in oem stuff? like kyb's and such? On the stock motorcraft struts? Just wondering, cuz i put koni's and such on mine. and on the rear, i was getting clunking also. The thing on mine though was that we didn't tighten the bolt that holds the inserts. did you put koni's? if you did, compress the springs, then tighten the bolts. maybe that's it, if you put koni's that's it, if not, disregard this message :p
