Programming second Intelligent Access key (not third)

Hi, I bought my 2013 SHO with only 1 key (wasn't a ford dealer). I bought a second key but now that I am reading the instructions it says you need two admin keys (WTF). Is there anyway for me to avoid spending ridiculous money at the dealership to program this second key? I have forscan and all btw, but this is not PATS right?

It is a type of PATS. If ForScan can't program it, you will need to have either the dealership, a locksmith, or a shop that has access to the Ford programs set it up.

Yup, I would imagine Forscan has the ability but you would have to find out how to program, otherwise some locksmiths or the dealer is in your future. They make it ******* purpose so a valet or any other place that you may drop your car off can't easy make a key for themselves.

Have any of you programmed an IA key with forscan? I don't want to make my only key not work by accident

I just checked forscan I see no PATS function for this car. Can I get IDS and program my own key? I have techstream for my Toyota.

If you have IDS, then you should be able to program it. ForScan requires a free extended license request after you attempt to access the system.
