Hey everyone, my name's Dave and Im from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Little bit about myself - At the beginning of 2001 (knowing a little about the SHO 'moniker', but very little about the particular model) I ended up buying my first car a 1999 Metallic Silver SHO with 30,000 km's on it. I instantly became a HUGE fan of the SHO and had the car for 5 years when I reluctantly sold it before the infamous cam issue struck me. At that time there was nobody within a reasonable distance to weld the cams for me so it played a huge part in why I sold. To this day (& even during the 10+ years the SHO was MIA) I have always been a diehard fan of the SHO.
2 weeks ago my gf and I welcomed our (first) daughter into the world so I have decided its time for me to get rid of my car and get back where I belong... Back in the seat of a Ford, specifically an SHO!
Since 2006 I have been driving 'Modified' Cobalt SS'... First was a Supercharged 06 Cobalt SS that met its 'maker in 2010. I hit a cow on the highway totalling both the car and the cow. :booboo: Next was/is a 2009 Turbocharged Cobalt SS, which is currently full Bolt-on putting down 330/360 to the (WRONG:cuss: ) wheels on 91. (#'s are from 91octane tune. I am running/tuned for 93 right now, but don't have numbers for it).
I am leaning towards a fully loaded 2012 SHO right now, but under certain circumstances will also consider a 2011 or 13. I know there are a few changes for sure in the 13 model year, but were there any significant changes going from 2011 to 2012? What are some of the more common issues the tuned guys are running into?
