I have owned my sho for about 3 years/25K miles. Within a year of buying it, the driverside dynamax rotted out and fell off. It rotted at the input side of the muffler. Had a set of turbos installed. Less than two years latter, the driver side has rotted out again in a similar manner. My guess is that the driver side does not have enough flow through it and doesn't get hot enough to burn all the moisture out of it. I drive it regularly to work, about 12/15 miles. This should be far enough to heat up the exhaust enough to prevent this from happening so quickly.

I am thinking of maybe going to a single slightly larger turbo. Any thoughts/recommendations/wise *** comments would be appreciated.

Try to treat your brand new mufflers with VHT high temperature paint. That application will lengthen the life of the muffler from the 'exterior'. However, if your muffler is rotting from the inside...I think there is nothing you can do but to replace it with another new one. If you are not into painting the muffler, you can opt to get a stainless coated summit turbo muffler. I have a pair of the aforementioned muffler for two years now and they appear to 'hold up' pretty well.

Most internal rot problems are because the car was not driven for log enough periods of time. The car may not have enough time to heat up and may have stronger, more corossive emissions.
