Yet another post from the frigid state of Ohio and the neverending weekend clutch job!

Has anyone purchased new pressure plate bolts from Ford when doing the clutch job? I have a few sets and they appear to have a yellow colored loctite on the bottom middle portion of the bolt. I was curious if anyone can confirm that and if I should add more loctite to the non covered threads or replace the loctite with the blue kind. I certainly don't want to under-do anything in such a sensative area of the clutch! nono Hopefully we'll see if she still runs in a few days! thumb

Forgot to add this the first time, but I have a exhaust ****** gasket, but should I replace the spring bolts/nuts while I'm in there? The threads were pretty corroded and the nuts aren't in great shape either. Where can I find these bolts/nuts?

Thanks!

You can get the spring bolt kit from AZ for like $7. I don't have that much time to look it up, but it's on their website, the p/n. I believe it's Fel-Pro. shrug

Just match up the old to new bolt and make sure they're the same size and length. Also, be sure to put plenty of loctite as you don't want the PP bolts to back out on you.
