power steering when out

My power steering went out in the 99, and my batt light is on! How hard is it to replace power steering pump?

Check the belt and tensioners first...

Battery light on indicates to me it's not charging, along with no PS tells me the drive belt is slipping. Car isn't likely to over heat in this scenario since the water pump is driven off of a camshaft on the front bank.
