I've actually been having this problem with my '92 for, oh, about two months...ok, when I got it, the pump would make ticking sounds until it blew up and spilled it's guts all over the driveway, so obviously, I need a new pump...changed the pump, it no longer ticked and it was all fine and dandy until a week later the fluid was pouring out of a return hose...changed the hose and a week later, it's blowing out the sides of the Rack & Pinion...changed the R&P, and then it starts skeeting out the side of the pressure hose...well...at this time, I'm fed up with it, and just built up some arm muscles driving it without fluid for about two weeks...I have a warranty on the PS pump so I changed it along with the line (just in case, I screwed it up driving it dry)and now as soon as I changed the ps this time, it's ticking again...and now, ps fluid is leaking out of somewhere...(slowly this time...probably just a loose connection) and the fluid is black...
