O I just got done putting on new inner tie rods. All lines were unhooked etc. I put it all back together and I must have missed something or put something in wrong. The power steering works but it is blowing the fluid out the fill area. I put that little restricter back in but wasnt sure where it went. Maby I put it in wrong? anyone got maby some pictures or exploded view of how it goes together. its a 93 mtx 3.0. There is a circulating sound comming from the rack when you dont move the wheel it stops when you move the wheel. The power steering seems to stop when you goto idle but not all the time.

get the air out first, so you know that's not it - jack front tires off the ground and turn lock to lock several times - iirc it takes about 6 times to get everything flowing right and the air out.

tryed getting all air out. I turned the wheel a bunch of times. I just tested it and its still doing the same thing. the pump on the car came off a earler model car like a 90 or 91 i think I dont know if that makes a difference or not. the other car did not have the VAPS (variable assist power steering). This one does. when I tested it I ran the car about 2 miles and when I got back the fluid was so hot that you could not touch the resovor.somethings not right and I just cant figure it out!!!!! it dont seem to be blowing out any more fluid but its overheating the power steering.

is it a wirrling/wineing sound? if so you may have a bad pump. I do however have to ask why did you take the lines off to change the inners?
