Power steering pulls hard

Occasionally when im making a turn the power steering gets very tight and its hard to turn the wheel then and there after. It will stay that way until I restart the car and then its fine. The power steering fluid is filled, any suggestions?

I would say it has to do with speed sensitive steering not working right. This may be do to a bad unit on the steering, or possible your VSS is not up to par. Does the speedo always work right?

My 95 just started acting up with the steering getting more difficult this week. Is it the VAPS as well? I don't see any leaks at all from the PS pump area or reservior and I have been having electrical gremlins for about a month now.

if it's just getting more difficult in general, you might want to also take a look at the strut bearings... they might have failed.
