Is there a difference between the power steering system between 92, and the 93, 94, 95? Here is the deal, after driving my brothers 93 for a while, My 92 seems like it doesn't even have power steering! Don't get me wrong, it does have power steering, and it seems to work fune, but, His turns so much easier than mine...........and yes before anybody says it, the fluid level is just fine. I also drove a guys 94 once, and his was just as easy as my brothers? Any ideas why mine isn't as easy to turn?

Indeed, it is because of the Vaps. The faster the car is going, the lower the power steering pressure will be. So, at high speeds, the turning will be much stiffer than at low speeds.

What is variable assist power steering, and can it be adjusted in any way? Sitting still, it seems harder than it should be.
Thanks

It can indeed be adjusted, IF you have it. I could not find a clear answer as to whether or not all SHO's have it. EIther way, go to SHOTIMES.com, look under MODIFICATIONS - STEERING - VAPS ( not exact wording, but you can find it).

FWIW, SHOTIMES has a wealth of info, every SHO owner owes it to himself to get familar with that site.
