power seat problem

hello, my power seat in my 93 goes up and down and the bolsters work, but the seat will not go back and forth. switch? motor? i dont know why it wont work. any help i woulg greatly appreciate. thanks

take a test light and put it on the connectors for the motor... push the switch and see if you are getting power at the motor. if you are then the motor is bad... but from what i have seen the motor will give up the ghost going forward first, so it should slide back slowly on its own if its the motor. if you can help it by pushing it and the motor still pulls it forward then the motor is shot. but if you dont have power at the motor it is the switch. pretty easy to change just pick one up from ebay. they are on there pretty often.

Most likely the motor or the track is shot/rusted.

You grab a SLO manual track and swap it in. Thats what I did , I love it better that way , doesnt take an eternity to back the seat up when my wife takes it.
