1991 mtx, 60k, new plugs, wires, etc done within 5k miles.
Very intermitantly (once every 3 months or so), I'll be at normal highway speed 65-75 mph in 5th and all of a sudden bad power loss. I can't accelerate at all, have to bury the pedal just to maintain speed and sometimes that doesn't even help. I have tried dropping into 4th and it stays the same. It just won't push past 3k rpm. This will coincide with a strong steering wheel shake. No lights on dash or codes. There is no warning when this will happen and because it is so infrequent and it suddenly goes away after a minute or two, I can never catch it while it is happening. Car just falls on its face, shakes like a mother and is fine two miles down the road.
She's not so pretty but otherwise runs well. No major mods, CAI, resonator delete. Otherwise stock.
Any ideas?
