I have noticed that when I press the gas pedal the heat blows harder, the headlights get brighter, and all of the interior lights get brighter as well. Sometimes,my car stalls if I do not let it warm up properly. (only happened once) What could this be? Battery? Alternator?

I remember when I left my hood open for a long time, the battery died. So, I am guessing it is the battery. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx
Also, how hard is it to remove/install a battery.?

it does sound like a battery problem. If the battery cant hold a charge properly you could see all of those symptoms...

First thing to do would be to get the battery load tested. Napa does it for free, autozone too I think.

Load testing the battery will tell you if it's bad or not... and Yes, replacing a battery is very easy boink

Definately get it taken care of in short order. Putting that kind of load on your alternator will cause it to fail prematurely. Get both the battery and the alternator tested.

Check the plug on the alternator or the wires that are connected to it. If this is loose, corroded or has a broken wire and you loose the connection andf the regulator puts out full voltage ~+16V.
