Possibly a big problem(sway bar end link)

well i noticed the other day i was reversing with the wheel turned to the right(all the way) and i noticed a rubbing noise. then i heard it when i went forward to the right. so im my curious nature i reached around the wheel and noticed the top of my sway bar end link bolt had come off. i had noticed a while back it was immpossible to tighten the bolt had had enough for some reason and i guess now its gone. my alighnment is fine and i have no problem with normal steering. so my question is what kind of sized bolt can i put on it. in the next few days before it becomes a problem.

just take off the whole end link off. I was driving with out one for a while. I didn't notice that much of a diffrence. Then just buy a new set at any auto parts store.

Are you talking about the front sway bar end link? Was it a steel link? Those were replaced by Ford with a lighter, stronger composite link with a better grease seal at the pivot points. Get these from Ford or one of the SHO vendors.

it's the compsite one. thankfully my friend wh owned her was good enough to take it in for the suspension recall. it was just the nut that came off. its a 12 the threads on the bolt are not that great some tomorrow im gonna reset them but the new bolt on and then problem solved (i hope)
it just took awhile seeing how i dont have a jack.
