I got four police blue SFB. Do the rear SFB have the four small screws embedded like the fronts? I read where you have to cut off the screws to fit the police bushing in the rear? Also why does the recall bolt/washer have a shoulder on it near the center? It makes the big washer "stand-off" the rubber bushing! Will that shoulder slide into the new bushing? When they did my recall, they just left the old washer on and the new bolt/washer shoulder rests on the old washer. So there's a gap between the new washer and the old one!

They did the recall incorrectly.Take it back and ask the manager to have it done the right way. Some mechanic was just lazy.

How should it look? Mine looks like the picture from Bizzy, where the old washer is still there. When I put my blue SFB's in won't that fix it? That way I won't have to deal with the dealer again.

Actually I think it doesn't look like Bizzy's. Can't see under the new washer, but it looks like it sits ON the old washer, with the shoulder against the bolt head. Maybe mine was put in upside down?

When you install the police bushings on the rear, you MUST drill 4 holes into the subframe to accomidate the 4 bolts and nuts.
Also make sure you remove the bushing on the hole of the subframe. It might take a chisel and hammer and don't be fooled, it might not look like there is one but, there is!
You also, do not use the washer from the recall kit. On the police bushings the washer is part of the bushing.

What happens if you just cut off the bolts for the rear? Does this defeat the extra stifness of the police bushings? Did they only put the blue ones on the front of police cars?

Yes they only put them on the front of the police cars. I'm unsure of the bolt purpose and one can pnly guess, but they are definately there for a reason so I would keep it that way.

I love them...very stiff and no increased road noise.

Jason...what's the difference between stock bushings and the police bushings? I'd been thinking about getting them but someone made a comment to me once that the only difference was that they were blue so needless to say I went with stock bushings.

The police is a TPR type bushing. It painted Blue just for referance reasons. They are VERY different, believe me. You just have to modify the rear subframe a tad so they fit.
