Does anyone know when they are coming out? I want to get the brakes from the interceptor version seeing as stock SHO brakes are horrid.

Probably late summer/fall 2010.

2011 Taurus ordering guide is out so I imagine that the PI will be following shortly.

I hear a lot of complaining about the brakes, but mine stops just fine, no complaints. If I open tracked the car, it probably wouldn't last more than a lap or two though. But then, I can't imagine running that car at the Glen... just way too heavy.

It stops just fine, its the pedal feel I dont like. I dont like the brakes going to the floor. Maybe there is some adjustment I can make to the pedal? Sometimes the brakes are extremely soft, and I can never get my brakes to lock up.

Something isn't right then if the pedal is that soft. I'd have the dealer check them out first and get someone else's opinion also. That way you can say it's just not me that says it feels soft. My brake pedal feels pretty good.

If you mash the brakes can you get them to lock up?

Can't say that I've ever stomped on them at all, but they shouldn't lock up... they're anti-lock. I guess you could remove the fuse for the anti-lock brake system if you want. BTW, what are you doing using the term mash and living in NY? ;)

Driving in traffic :) :)

I mean to say they dont lock up at all. Even ABS brakes lock up and the computer pulses them. I doubt Fords system is that much better than the rest where they dont lock at all.

Yeah, you should get some chirps. But, I'm not going to try it.

Has anybody found out if the police grill (not gen I...the new one :p ) is available separately from Ford? If I had the cash I'm thinking the white suede with a body colored po-po grill and painted chrome would look sweet.

The Taurus Police car won't be available until the 2012 model year, so don't expect those parts to available until at least 2011.

Sounds like my 93 SHO when the anti-lock brake pump went bad. I'd get it checked out, but if your Ford dealer is anything like mine was your going to have to take it back multiple times. Either that or your brakes could need bleeding maybe there's some air in a line somewhere.
