A local junkyard has a 1st gen SHO plus. Would the 'glass hood fit on my 95'? If it would fit, Id think it would look cool  .

If it's white, I have a buyer for you. Figure out what you'd sell it for. A friend of mine has a white 90 with a messed up hood. He has a champagne colored one he was gonna sand and paint, but he'd rather buy a white one and sell the other one. He got that one for $70, and that was with a cupholder and a couple other things, hood was $50 I believe by itself. Not expecting those prices from every junkyard, but who knows?

i dont think i really want to buy it and resell it unless someone really needs it and can arrange for shipping, or lives nearby. I dont think its going anywhere either, I live out here in the boonies and the guy at the yard says hes never really had anyone looking for SHO parts. Its dark green btw, but the paint isnt that great, it would have to be repainted.

We're in Fort Worth, TX, and it's worth it to paint a plus hood, but a regular one lacks that certain attraction. Let me know where it's at, and we can probably just run out there and get it.

the name of the yard is A- Tex Used auto parts. The phone # is 936-588-2233. Their metro phone is 936-447-2230. They are located in conroe, Texas, which is about an hour north of houston. The guy's name is Kent Trice, and im sure he'll be able to give you the details. He's also got the complete engine, transaxle, and brain for $650. I'm not sure that thats such a great deal tho. The car has a bad clutch, throwout bearing is locked up, and it has 167000 miles. Plugwells were filled to the brim with oil. I hate to see this happen to SHOs :madflame: .

According to the previos owners (the original owners), my car is a Plus...

But I don't have a fiberglass hood. I have everything else though. Were ALL pluses fitted with fiberglass hoods?

you've got the chrome trim around the windows? the blacked out pillars? not all pluses got the hoods, just like some non-plus cars did get them. same goes for rod-shifters

I need to get one of these ON my car and see how far off it is. Which dimensions are off (or, are any of them on?)

Is it pinnable? It doesn't have to look good, just mostly fit.

The front curve, at the center sticks out about 2" more on a Gen II. All other dimensions are the same. All the mounting points and latches are the same. Well, sort of, my 87 has the safety release lever several inches towards the passenger side. I'm not sure where the safety release is on the GenI SHOs.
