Take the intake off and clean it. Then start using some Auto-RX for a couple of bottles which will help reduce the blowby.

And make a PCV condensation can which will prevent the carbon buildup by stopping the ingestion of the blowby.

It's been covered a few times.

Basically it is a tube (mines 3" aluminum) with a baffle in it that is inserted in the hose between the oil separator and the PCV valve. You have to have sufficient size to give maximum surface area to cool down the gasses. It needs a drain and should be mounted outside the engine compartment.

No tuner....yet.....what would that do for me anyway?

And mock if you want, but I'm waiting to hear the results first hand. trust me...if acetone can benefit a car, his is the one.

Tuner would stop the pinging if the spark and knock tables are set up right. Wouldn't cure the problem though. Have you tried a colder range spark plug?

Have you tried cleaning the MAF yet?

Contaminated MAF sensor filaments usually result in the MAF under-metering the incoming air, resulting in a lean mixture, which will result in spark knock when the mixture can't tolerate the amount of commanded spark.

I was just wondering if an aftermarket tune could be the cause. I had a tune that would ping a little even on 94 octane gas.
