Well guys after several drive and dies PhatSHO is home, I spent a good portion of the day removing and installing a new camshaft position sensor. I let the car run for three hours in the drive way while I smoked a couple of cigars and had lunch and she purred the whole time and that scared me....lol Well Wednesday I'm going to take it for a spin around the block and see if anything happens and see where I go from there. I pulled the codes, erased them and pulled new ones and nothing related to the problems I have been having have arose. I'm planning to come out to Dooleyville on Satuday hopefully I can make it that far. The car is going to sit until then....not taking any chances. I do need to know if anybody has done a front seal change....in car if possible I would like to fix a leak I'm having there. If anybody can help or guide me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. I'm trying to be out there as early as possible to get a jump on it. I also want to possibly change out my fuel pump because I'm convinced that it might have been damaged when it was installed by Goodyear. Other than that I'm ready to help anywhere I can. Can't wait to see the red rocket Jason put together. So I'll keep you guys posted about the test on Wednesday....Pray for me!!!

Mike, ever since I got the new car, I've been thinking about leaving the silencer cone in!! It keeps the fillings in my teeth from rattling loose. I might miss the sound of it.... we'll see how it does after I put the dynomax back on. Either way, it needs the rod shifter conversion... STAT!
I'll see you guys saturday after work.

Disassembled

It is disassembled. It will share the same fate as Jonny - 5. I just got the dynomax on it tonight. The old exhaust was plugged up with pieces of catylitic converter. The cone will be coming off. The black is nice. At least all of the panels match. I need to find another police grill since I blasted the one I had on the silver car. There may be splinters of it laying around.

We should arrange to run down some rice burners this weekend since I hear it is a hobby that we have in common.

I miss my big brakes. I'll be putting them on when Eric gets back form his trip.

I am going to take a pic of the silver car hanging from the fork lift and use it as an avatar. LOL!

hmmm Jonny 5? not familiar with his fate, but forklift sounds bad. If I recall your silver ride was in bad shape. But seeing as how you are the only gen 1 part car Tom has seen, I might be looking at some stuff. Your lower skirts were trashed too right? I need the lower body skirts in the rear beneatht the door. Too bad your plus hood took a beating.

No rice killing from me for 1000 miles. New clutch we put in is something I will be breaking in nicely. Oh yea, and no down in the valley beating on my car for me either. Stupid O2 level increases. I usta have an extra police grille from my accident.....no more though.

Johny 5

Rent the movie Short Circuit. Johny 5 was a robot. The car wasn't in all that bad of shape. The body molding is in decent shape.... just the paint is worn off. I shouldnt have spray bombed the hood. The hood was the worst part of the car. The plus hood isnt as light as you would think it is. It got cracked in the accident. I decided that it wasn't worth fixing. Tom ran over it with the fork lift just in case any of us got any silly ideas in our heads about wasting our time repairing it. Any one is welcome to take what ever they want from what is left of the car. Just don't forget to helpout the nice people of dooleyville and the forum. I took the rear bumper cover off in case one of us gets rear ended. I know there are some gen 1's out where I live but I don't think they are on the forum.
See ya later. Good luck with that break in period!!! I wouldn't have the patience for it.

If your skirts and black metal door trim is any better than mine, I wouldnt mind scooping them up. I have 2 side skirts and 3 metal strips that are showing my michigan origins.

Uh, you're forgetting that original black POS that helped start all this. Pretty much a chunk of rust with some distantly spaced flecks of black paint on it. It donated the subframe that I wire-brushed, primed, and painted only to find later that it was bent.

POS doesnt count....it had less miles on it than my car and looked like you could throw a cat right at it and it would pass thru the holes without touching it. I do have the tranny from that car though.

Hmmm. Black POS rust bucket? I don't suppose it was a 92 mtx by chance, was it? It sounds alot like my black bomber. :nut:
It finally goes to my buddies shop for a few weeks of serious wrenching to get it on the road. Pray for me.

No, it was an 89 or 90 from Flea-Bay and a seller that got the terms "hard to start" and "tranny is unbolted and starter is in the trunk" mixed up.

The engine will be going into Lee's Class 1 race car this Fall.

We have a police grille we'll swap for mufflers. How's that for a deal?
We'll try to get by this weekend.

Not the ones on the 93 I hope. Those were brand new and sounded soooo good. I have some mufflers off of ATX's.

No, no,..they still sound suhweet, ('tho with a whiff of rasp at the redline).

We need them for our gen 1 mtx. (You know, the perfect parts car for Raptor, except red). We just want to get the mufflers back where they belong, as opposed to the gutter where one landed.

Fair. One broken tab, but we have it. I intended to fiberglass in back in place. If we don't need a Gen 1, we don't need a POlice grille.

:omg: blasphemy...everyone needs a gen 1.

FYI: a good condition police grille is worth some nice bucks. I paid 190 for mine....insurance settlement and it was like new new.

Only in that it gave us the Trifecta.

Seriously, the Gen 1 is going on the Forum block, and the grille is there for boot, or barter.
