Hey Beth, we all had fun yesterday. You left too soon, I didn't get a chance to drag that monitor up from the basement and dump it in your trunk. I also had a surprise to show you, since it isn't finished yet it wil have to stay under the covers.

You mean you STILL haven't finished that yet! Perry, I could've built the Titanic in less time. That does it, I'm driving back there in my truck and helping you out. Somebody gimme a hammer and chop saw. :p

Perry, I know. As soon as I hit Telegraph road up in Monroe while sitting in the mile long backup of traffic I remembered. So then I was kicking myself in the pants three times. Once for having to leave so soon, again for not taking your advice and taking that other road that parallels Telegraph and then once more for forgetting the monitor.   There are a few other things that I could think of to kick myself for.....but at my age they escape me. :p

I had a very good time while I was down there though. I so wish I could have stayed longer though. It's always nice to see everybody and a special treat to see Mel again. It's been 2 or 3 years now? Patrick sure grew up though! I almost didn't recognize him.

Here's some of the pics I took yesterday. All of the pics I took didn't come out, my camera really likes Sony discs which I wasn't using. **Another mental note to self.....next time buy Sony Mavica R/W discs for the digital camera.**

It was good to see you all there. I'm really looking forward to next time. :thumb:

A sticker on the back of an Astro Van on my way down.

Mel's car has got to be THE cleanest Gen 1 I've ever seen. It's too bad the pic I took from the front didn't come out. The cowl hood really sets the car off.

Rollin' rollin' rollin'........ Daniel had fun rolling down Perry's yard.

What surprise is this that the two of you speak of? Hmmm??? Now my curiosity is at a peak. I might just have to go back to Perry's and break into his basement.

Oh yeah, I ended up taking 275 which we didn't get on until about 4:20. We made it where Josh's girlfriend works (about 8 miles from home) at 5:35.

I of course also had a fun time. I felt left out not having any SHO apparel on but I had just come from work in the classic Anderson's blue shirt and khakis with dirt stains on the front from product resets. It was nice meeting you Mel and Patrick too! Perry, is this "thing" for Beth what you showed me or do you have something else up your sleeve? Hopefully I will see Bill again in the near future to check out a certain 89' that I want to acquire and Beth soon as I tried to get that driven gear out today with no luck.

Whenever you're ready Jim. We'll put a fan under the car for quick cooling and then we'll be able to get that thing out without much adieu.

I'll try to weasel out of not giving Beth her surprise by saying it wasn't the right moment yet.

:naughty: :naughty:

Yep, you're right, I need some help. Pick up I 70 in Colorado, turn north on I 75 at Dayton, Ohio. Then west on I 475 in Toledo, take the 3rd exit, turn right at the Burger King and go 4 blocks. If you do show up, I'll treat you to dinner at Tony Packo's. That will give both of us an excuse not to work on "the surprise".

I just checked the price of diesel fuel out here. According to your directions and mapquest, it will cost me $432,976.00 in diesel fuel costs alone. You better finish it on your own.

BIG debt of gratitude

Returned home (to CT) without incident in time for supper last night. Thanks to all of you for making us part of your weekend, and especially to Bill and Perry for the emergency roadside repair service. I would've been SOL without you guys.

Officer Daniel it is

Thanks Ryan, good to see you folks again too. Sorry I was kinda rushed and distracted, I'd much rather have been able to hang out and BS rather than work on my jalopy!

Hopefully we'll get back out there later this Summer, early Autumn :thumb:
